CLASS!CS Collection
… and YES! As a tribute to the recently deceased Raoul Cauvin, and his sense of hilarious repartee, we REALLY bring you this splendid diorama. It was created in collaboration with Willy Lambil. It’s easy to imagine that the late Salvérius would have been delighted by the realism of the characters and decor. At the front, of course, we find Cornelius Chesterfield, the gallo-horned sergeant, at the reins of an anonymous cavale, followed by a dubious Corporal Blutch riding Arabesque, a mare whose name so aptly reflects the modeler’s talent for transcribing a peaceful trot. Impeccable outfits, from boots to kepi, complete harnessing, including packs, precision of detail is the order of the day. Likewise, the scenery is not lacking in finesse, with grass, rocks, shoreline sand, deadwood trunks, foaming water and even splashes. So, if a rude person discovers your acquisition and says: “Oh, a two-horse!”, tell the impudent person that he or she has every right to be jealous, because a diorama like this one is, in all honesty, tunic!
