Based from the cover of Superman #24 “Perils Of Poor Lois!” which was published in June of 1943. With the cover coming in October the same year. It tells the story of Superman having to stop an Axis plot to strategically leverage the Arctic as an aerial route and having to save lois from a criminal body double. This statue was sculpted by Tony Cipriano and recreates the work of artist Jack Burnley. This piece was produced in a limited edition run of just 1700 units in 2006 by DC Direct. Statue measures approximately 9 1/2″ tall x 6 1/2″ wide x 5″ deep. Original box is also in decent condition. It does have some water damage on the top as shown. It did not affect the statue at all. This statue does not come with a Certificate of Authenticity but is numbered.
