One-half of what is probably the most famous team of hecklers in show business, Statler (along with Waldorf) never misses a Muppet performance. He has nothing good to say about the Muppets (particularly Fozzie), but one suspects that deep down, he has a certain fondness for them (why would he keep coming to the show if he hates it so much?).
