Rowlf was actually the first nationally known Muppet celebrity, appearing regularly on The Jimmy Dean Show in the 1960’s. Although not the big star he once was, Rowlf remains philosophical about life and parlayed his musical aptitude into a steady gig playing the piano on The Muppet Show.
