Red Hood – 1/10 Scale ARTFX+ Statue – DC Universe New 52
A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! The latest DC Comics ARTFX+ Statue from Kotobukiya adds another member of the “Batman Family” of characters from the pages of the New 52, RED HOOD! Once upon a time Jason Todd was the second Robin serving with Batman after Dick Grayson moved on to form the Teen Titans. After being killed in the line of duty Todd returned from the dead a different person, unhinged and violent and took on the persona of the Red Hood (a name previously used by different criminal elements in Gotham City including the Joker in one instance). Over time Jason recovered from his madness and now once again patrols the streets as a hero, though one who’s willing to use guns and employ violent measures unlike his mentor. Now Red Hood makes his debut in the ARTFX+ Statue lineup!
Red Hood has come for justice, and he stands ready to let his guns do the talking! The anti-hero is captured in a tense pose, leaning back slightly to get a better view of his targets while holding up twin pistols. Jason’s New 52 look is perfect with his street-smart costume consisting of heavy duty black and red boots, reinforced black pants, a fierce tan jacket open to reveal black body armor underneath it, black gloves, and of course his iconic red skull-like helmet. Like the other ARTFX+ Statues in this line Red Hood looks great with metallic accents and you’ll appreciate all of the subtle details like his distinctive symbol on his chest, the zippers and paneling of his jacket, the empty holsters at his waist, and the perfectly formed helmet with grooves and soulless white eyes.
Sculpted by Naoya Muto, Red Hood stands just under 8 ½ inches tall (in the ARTFX+ 1/10th scale) and like all ARTFX+ statues he has magnets in his feet for extra stability on his included display base. Whether alongside Batman and the other Batman Family statues on your shelf or by himself, Red Hood will be the centerpiece of your DC Comics collection!
