Brutish, filthy creatures, as Minotaurs are to bulls, so Minoboars are to pigs- part man, part boar. Burly and strong, the Minoboars are foot soldiers in the White Witch’s army, able to disrupt entire enemy lines with their vicious charges. The powerful, stocky soldiers are protected by dirty, heavy, leather armour over their already thick hides. They carry no weapons, preferring to inflict grievous wounds with rusty blades and spikes on their armour and their large, sharp tusks.
Design Maquettes are quick sculptures used to refine the design of a creature beyond drawings and paintings, allowing the concept to be realised in a three dimensional form. The enclosed maquette is close to the final form the character takes in the film and has been cast directly off the original maquette used by Andrew Adamson and the Weta Workshop team during the design phase. The accompanying booklet provides a detailed story of the maquette’s design process.
