Mari Illustrious Makinami made her debut in “Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance” as a cheerful glasses-wearing girl with twin tails. When the Third Angel was about to break free, she was called upon to pilot Unit-05 for its first combat and displayed proficient fighting skills, defeating her opponent. In “Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo”, she joined the anti-NERV organization WILLE and piloted Unit-08, participating in the mission to recover Unit-01 and the fourth battle against the awakened Unit-13 while sporting a pink battle suit. This statue is a representation of Mari from “Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo” showcasing a young girl with immense inner strength, who remains resilient in the face of despair and exudes a powerful aura beneath her cheerful demeanor. To provide collectors with an extraordinary and unparalleled experience, we have created this 1/2 scale Mari statue, rare in its size, rich in intricate details, and meticulously painted to accurately reproduce the character’s appearance.
For the pose, we aimed to present Mari in a natural and graceful standing posture, showcasing both her cuteness and sensuality, as well as her radiant confidence and charm, much like the warmth of the sun. The head sculpt follows the official design, featuring a standard anime style, faithfully recreating Mari’s signature twin-tailed hairstyle with red-bordered glasses. Her face exhibits a sunny and playful optimistic smile, reminiscent of spring breeze. The statue’s body showcases the battle suit Mari wore when piloting Unit-08, featuring a pink battle attire that wraps from her feet to her neck, accentuating her graceful curves. Various materials and spray techniques are employed to create a layered paint effect, combining matte, glossy, and metallic components to replicate the high-tech appearance of the battle suit as seen in the anime. The design of the base platform incorporates elements from Unit-08 and the base structure in “Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo” The back of the base draws inspiration from the head of Unit-08, creating a captivating atmosphere through transparent parts and green lighting. Additionally, the ground and plants are painted with red to recreate the post-battle ruins and soil soaked in the blood of the Angels, as depicted in the anime.
The Premium Deluxe Edition offers a more elaborate base platform and includes interchangeable arms and beverage bottle props.

In “Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo”, Mari enjoys singing and drinking beverages while piloting mechas. We have used transparent parts to create iconic beverage containers and scattered empty bottles on the ground. Together with the specially designed base platform and two interchangeable hands, the statue freezes the moment when Mari gently supports the broken wall with her left hand while holding her favorite drink in her right hand—a portrayal of her unwavering confidence and carefree personality in the midst of a brutal battlefield. To enhance the collectible experience, the Deluxe Edition will come with a small metal nameplate featuring a silhouette of the pilot. Made of high-quality metal, it carries a substantial weight.
