When the Last Alliance of Elves and Men marched against Sauron, the Men of Gondor carried these great war shields, a stalwart bulwark with which they defended against Sauron’s fell hordes and push them back into the black lands from whence they came. This reproduction shield is cast from solid resin with hand painted details and coloring combined with the innovative aging and weathering techniques, transform this Second Age Gondorian War Shield into a real life collectible. This beautiful edition is strictly limited to 1500 pieces worldwide and is individually serialized on a solid embossed metal plate mounted on the back of the shield to ensure authenticity. The front of the shield bares the “Tree of Gondor” surrounded by seven stars and a crown. These were royal symbols of the Gondorian people and showed their noble Numenorean lineage. Each shield is presented with a Kingdom of Gondor banner, to mount on a wall behind the shield. There are two rings on the back of the shield so that it can be hung on a wall. Handgrip is shipped unassembled for wall mounting (mounting brackets included), hardware and instructions to assemble included. Includes a certificate of authenticity.
