Captain Haddock, Snowy and Tintin on the up-turned hull of the lifeboat in which they escaped Allan and his henchmen of the Karaboudjan. Just when all seems lost, the silhouette of a seaplane appears on the horizon, immediately raising the spirits of the cast-away trio. Capturing an iconic moment in the very early days of the friendship between Tintin and Captain Haddock, this is a piece of concept art by Weta Workshop conceptual designer Rebecca Holguin (Tisch) created during the making of The Adventures of Tintin, the new film from Paramount Pictures and Columbia Pictures. The image has been chosen from The Art of The Adventures of Tintin, the beautifully presented book that has just launched as an official companion to the film.
This print is the first in a series of prints from the book and we welcome suggestions from collectors and fans of the movie for future scenes and motifs. The external dimensions of the print are 465 mm x 297 mm and the printed area is 403 mm x 235 mm. It’s printed on high quality 170 gsm satin paper and ships rolled up in a VERY sturdy poster tube. The dimensions of the poster tube are such that you can order up to 10 for the same shipping cost! It will arrive in pristine condition, ready to be framed and hung, pride of place, in your home.
