Scar (100 Years Version) – 1/10 Art Scale – Disney 100th
Arrogant, narcissistic and always thirsty for power, the slender feline with brown fur, black mane, green eyes, with a striking scar over the left eye that determines its name, settles down sitting on top of a rock in the amazing territory known as the elephant cemetery. Ever self-absorbed, the former leader of the Lion Guard assumes a position of power, hatching his nefarious plans to take the throne as reigning monarch of the Pride Lands, a vast savannah territory controlled by a pride of powerful lions in Africa. Celebrating 100 years of Disney, Iron Studios proudly presents the “Scar – The Lion King – Art Scale 1/10” statue, featuring the iconic villain from The Lion King, the 32nd animated feature film produced by Walt Disney Pictures in 1994, a film that won at the time the second highest grossing of all time, with the villain on a base on his rocky pedestal surrounded by ivory tusks that refer to the sinister scenario of the elephant cemetery.
Iron Studios also brings the Deluxe version “Scar Deluxe – The Lion King – Art Scale 1/10” on a base richly decorated with ivory tusks and greenish mists, accompanied by his minions, the clan of exiled hyenas formed by the cunning female Shenzi , the clumsy Banzai and the laughing Ed. And a special edition “Scar – Disney 100 Years – The Lion King – Art Scale 1/10” numbered and limited to 100 pieces, with a richly decorated base bearing the Iron Studios logos and a plaque front commemorative of Disney’s 100 years, a very special item for fans and collectors to celebrate and be part of this centenary!
In the Pride Lands, King Mufasa ruled the animals as their monarch while his brother Scar was in charge as the leader of the group that defended and protected his kingdom. But the position of power, his envy and ambition led Scar to believe he should be king. He tried to usurp Mufasa’s throne, but his subordinates refused to aid him in his plot. After the birth of his nephew, Simba, Scar made plans to get rid of him and his brother. Allying himself with a clan of hyenas, he unleashed a stampede of wildebeests into a gorge, threatening Simba’s life, and luring Mufasa into danger, who managed to save her calf, but ended up being killed by Scar. Scar convinced Simba that he was to blame for his father’s death, which led to the cub’s self-exile. Scar became the new king, and allowed the hyenas to invade his lands, causing his kingdom to slowly fall into ruin. Simba falls from exhaustion in a desert, almost dying, but ends up rescued by Timon, a meerkat, and Pumbaa, a wild boar, who take care of him until he recovers. Simba grows up with them in the wild, living a carefree life. As a young adult, he rescues Timon and Pumbaa from a starving lioness, and recognizes his friend Nala, who tries to convince him to return home, telling him that the Pride Lands have become a wasteland under Scar’s rule. Initially reluctant, eventually Simba comes back to challenge Scar and defeats him. Surrounded by the hungry hyenas, who have turned against him, Scar is devoured by his former allies in a blaze of fire.
