Alberto Varanda, born in 1965 in Portugal, arrived in France in 1968. He studied woodcarving, then advertising graphics and illustration in Paris. After his studies, he collaborates with the magazines Rantanplan presse, Spirou and Tintin Reporter. He then gives drawing lessons and meets Croc, creator of role playing games at Siroz. From their complicity will be born games like INS/MV, Bloodlust, Scales and Bitume. At this time, he also creates illustrations for Casus Belli. His collaboration with Ange begins with the comic Reflets d’écume. Then came the series Bloodline, La Geste des Chevaliers Dragons and Paradis perdu. At the same time, Alberto realized covers of novels for Fleuve Noir. He then met Christophe Arleston, the scriptwriter of Lanfeust de Troy, with whom he started Élixirs. At the same time, he creates a series of paintings that will become novel covers for Bragelonne Publishing. In 2010, he signed with Soleil Edition a beautiful trilogy, a poetic and dreamy illustrated book, for children and adults: Petit Pierrot. In addition to The Living Death, he is developing a new series for children with Comix Buro: The Little Heroes.
